New Light Temple

Banner

New Light Temple was founded by Rabbi Joseph Gelberman as a sanctuary where people of all beliefs and backgrounds would joyously come together to share their bountiful and varied gifts of Spirit. His motto, “Never Instead Of Always In Addition To” sparked the interfaith, interspiritual movement of today.

New Light Temple is the ordaining body for All Faiths Seminary International founded by Rabbi Joseph
Gelberman, Ph.D., in Manhattan, NY. New Light Temple is a sacred space dedicated to One Truth
accepting and honoring many paths.

Our purpose is to provide a sacred space for people of all faith traditions and ages to celebrate diverse
religious, spiritual, interreligious , cultural, traditions, rituals, and practices fostering understanding,
peace, love and unity.

May the Light of the Future Shine in the Present ……. Swami Satchidananda

The New Light Temple, a non-profit 501 (c) 3, will hold monthly services and the annual All
Faiths Seminary Graduation /Ordination ceremony virtually.

The New Light Temple conducts a 90-minute Interfaith Service on the 3rd Thursday of every month starting at 7:30 pm EST. All are welcome! Each month reflects a different theme and we also observe the various Holy Holidays that are celebrated in that month. The event occurs on Zoom and we send out a registration link for each service. The upcoming 18th of November’s Theme is “Inner Light” and the 16th of December’s theme is “Joy & Peace”. There is no charge, Love offerings are appreciated.

The Themes for each month are all spiritually focused on how we connect to the Divine and support one another.  We invite AFSI Alumni to reach out and let us know if one of these themes speaks to them, and if they would like to participate by reading a prayer, sharing how they celebrate a particular Holy Holiday, and/or offer their insights during our Experiential segment.
