Foundational Training in Rabbinical Studies
(One Year Program)

Jumpstart your journey as an interfaith leader with a strong foundation in the Jewish tradition, history, and teachings, practical ministerial skills, while deepening the development of your own personal spiritual practice.  A student must be an interfaith minister to take this program.

Master of Divinity, Judaism
(Two-Year Program)

Dive deeper with advanced courses in theology, pastoral care, and a more comprehensive study of the Jewish tradition as you prepare for greater responsibility in teaching, spiritual counseling, community leadership, or ongoing academic research.

Doctorate of Divinity, Judaism (Two-Year Program)

Jewish Studies at All Faiths Seminary

Structured as 1-year, 2-year, or 3-year programs, our Judaic Studies offers a comprehensive curriculum.

First Year:

Comprehensive Curriculum:
Dive deep into the multifaceted aspects of Judaism through an intensive study that covers:

  • Jewish Law: Understand the religious rules that govern the daily lives and ethical decisions of Jews.
  • The Torah: Engage with the central text of Judaism, which includes the teachings of the prophets and the laws as given by God.
  • Sabbath and Holiday Observance: Learn the significance and practices of the Jewish Sabbath and major Jewish holidays.
  • Dietary Laws: Explore the principles and practices behind kosher dietary laws and their importance in Jewish life.

Second Year:

  • In-depth continuation of the first year’s subjects, enhancing understanding and application

Rabbinical Studies Program – Year Three

After successfully completing two years of Judaic studies, students may enter the third year to pursue Rabbinical ordination, which includes:

  1. Advanced studies in all areas from the previous years
  2. Practical rabbinical training to prepare for community leadership
  3. Ordination as a Rabbi upon successful completion of the program
  4. Attendance at our 4-day retreat intensive is mandatory to graduate from any of these programs.

Rabbi Scott Matous serves as the President and Dean. With extensive experience in officiating key Jewish rites and ceremonies across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, Rabbi Scott brings both scholarship and real-world practice to the program.
