Robert “Bud” James, Ph.D.
Dr. James’s spiritual journey commenced at the age of 12 and has been marked by a lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth. This journey has included extensive study of spiritual literature, countless hours of meditation, Spiritual Practice, and studying with esteemed instructors. He was ordained as a minister by the Church of Divine Man in 1992 and later as an Interfaith Minister by All Faiths Seminary International in 2012.
Furthering his commitment to spiritual education, Dr. James graduated from All Faiths Seminary with a Masters of Divinity in 2014 and a Doctorate of Divinity in 2015. He is also an accomplished author and a dedicated teacher of “A Course in Miracles,” contributing deeply to the dialogue between technology, spirituality, and personal development.

Dr. James along with Dr. Jon Mundy and Dr. Keith Lowenstein are co-directors of AFSI’s Seeker’s Compass program. Together they engage students and the public in exploring mysticism through modern perspectives. This innovative program features interviews with modern mystics and offer insights into their spiritual journeys, providing invaluable resources for those drawn to mystical studies.
This unprecedented program promises to enrich the spiritual and academic landscape by weaving together traditional and contemporary mystical studies, preparing students to lead with wisdom and compassion in a diverse world.
Under Dr. James’ guidance, students at the seminary can pursue degrees in Interfaith Minister, Masters of Divinity, or Doctorate of Divinity with an emphasis on A Course in Miracles as well as Mysticism.
