One- year integrative study programs include one-to-one mentorship to help prepare a new generation of spiritual teachers and community leaders to serve our complex world and uphold a vision for more harmonious coexistence.

One-Year Interfaith Minister Program

  1. Comprehensive Curriculum
    Engage with the teachings of major world religions, spiritual counseling, and the performance of religious rituals.
  2. Rolling Admissions & Remote Study Options
    By eliminating traditional academic breaks, we ensure a focused, continuous learning experience leading to your ordination as a minister that begins as soon as you are ready.
  3. Practical Experience
    Participate in monthly weekend sessions at The MAKOR Center for Spiritual Judaism in New York City, complemented by extensive online resources for those outside the area.
  4. Ordination and Certification
    Successfully complete the program and receive ordination, becoming eligible to legally register as clergy.

Interfaith Minister Training: Areas of Study

  1. Study African Religions, Shamanism, Hinduism, Yoga Philosophy, Buddhism, Taoism, Judaism & Kabbalah, Christianity, Islam & Sufism, and more.
  2. Delve into Ethics and Morality, Dimensions of Psychology, and Spiritual Counseling.
  3. Learn to conduct Marriages, Naming Ceremonies, Rites of Passage, Funerals, and Memorial Services.

Minister classes meet 2nd Saturday of each month via Zoom.

Graduates from our two-year programs are well-prepared to lead in various spiritual and community settings, acting as community ministers and contributing in healthcare, hospice, mental health, spiritual healing, and community building that helps bridge diversity and nurture harmonious, inclusive relationships.
