Robert “Bud” James, Ph.D.
Dr. Robert “Bud” James brings a rich background in both the technical and spiritual realms to his role as Co-Director and Co-Instructor at New Vistas International™. This organization is renowned for its dedication to providing transformative educational experiences based on the innovative PAUSE Model.
Dr. James’s illustrious career in Information Technology spans over 30 years, during which he held pivotal roles including Chief Technical Officer at MySpace.com, Systems Architect at Unisys, and Global Manager at Oracle.
Dr. James’s spiritual journey commenced at the age of 12 and has been marked by a lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth. This journey has included extensive study of spiritual literature, countless hours of meditation, and learning from esteemed instructors. He was ordained as a minister by the Church of Divine Man in 1992 and later as an Interfaith Minister by All Faiths Seminary in 2012.
Furthering his commitment to spiritual education, Dr. James graduated from All Faiths Seminary International with a Doctorate of Divinity in 2015. He is also an accomplished author and a dedicated teacher of “A Course in Miracles,” contributing deeply to the dialogue between technology, spirituality, and personal development.

As All Faiths Seminary International introduces “The Seeker’s Compass” program, Dr. James and Dr. Keith Lowenstein together engage students and the public in exploring mysticism through modern perspectives. This innovative program will feature interviews with modern mystics and offer insights into their spiritual journeys, providing invaluable resources for those drawn to mystical studies.
This unprecedented program promises to enrich the spiritual and academic landscape by weaving together traditional and contemporary mystical studies, preparing students to lead with wisdom and compassion in a diverse world.
Under Dr. James’ guidance, students at the seminary can pursue degrees in Interfaith Minister, Masters of Divinity, or Doctorate of Divinity with an emphasis on A Course in Miracles as well as Mysticism.
