Core Principles

Seminary students and staff of the invited to be guided by these core principles of inclusivity and open-hearted inquiry.

1. Openness to the religious paths across all faiths.

The rainbow’s beauty consists of many hues and the grandeur of a  symphony in its many instrumental harmonies and coloration.  Unity does not require or even suggest uniformity.

2. Seeking attunement to spirit as one of the highest goals of conscious living.

Spiritual living unfolds our inner human possibilities and helps us to freely grow toward realizing our most enlightened self. The Seminary supports and encourages spiritual practices that contribute positively to the spiritual growth of each student.

3. Affirmation of an inclusive vision of “We.”

We can experience ourselves as part of the global human family. Outdated dichotomies of us-vs-them do not serve and slow our healing of the world.

4. Affirmation of the essential goodness of the human being.

Each of us represent an expression of one divinity. As we individually and collectively move toward greater awareness and understanding of a unified divine spirit, we become and experience deeper reflections of that spirit.

5. Recognition that each person can contribute to healing in the world.

We can hold faith in the ultimate healing of our planet. Each of us, as we fulfill our own highest good, contributes to greater harmony and brings some degree of collective healing.

6. Honor the value of interactions among all faiths as enhancing the spirit of the world.

Openness to a diverse array of religious philosophies, experiences, and practices offers an expansive and unifying vehicle to aid in both personaln and global healing through wider spiritual awareness.
