| “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb,” so the colorful saying goes. It mainly describes the intensity of twists, turns and abrupt happenings within the transition from winter to spring. Winter fighting relentlessly through time and space, holding onto its authority without realizing that on the other side of the fight, is a fertile ground for new beginnings.
Sometimes, it’s hard to let go, to walk away from people, places, and circumstances that have a hold on us in some powerful way. We may even accept unfulfillment and suffer through because we feel unsure about our next steps or what’s in store for us ahead. It’s hard to let go and trust the transition. In fact, it’s not until winter releases control, goes with the flow, and completely surrenders that things start warming up. It’s not until a choice is made for change, that life begins anew.
Seasons change to teach us that nothing is permanent. It is within the turmoil of intense transitions that we can relinquish control and gently move into the next phase of growth. We have a choice and that choice is our power to change. We forget, freedom is not in the fight but in walking away from things that no longer serve us–that is wisdom. Choosing to walk away means you’re making choices that suit you well and supports your future hopes and dreams. Remember, Seasons move on when it’s time and so can we.
Nothing is permanent and nothing stays the same,
even within the Season of its own time.
I invite you to look at the people, places, and things in your life right now and observe whether you feel fulfilled and nourished or need to consider walking away. Take a moment to look at any choices for change and greater possibilities of experience for yourself. Write it down and practice using your personal power in choice to make change. Have fun with it!
