Susanna Macomb, Part 1 – 3/18
Susanna Macomb began with much of her own story, especially about how she found her calling to do very personalized weddings, tailor-made for interfaith couples, and to write her book about it. She continued to tell many stories of her life and the fascinating couples and families she helped to join, and some of the bridges that were more complicated to build. Her books are available on Amzaon, and include Joining Hands and Hearts: Interfaith, Intercultural Wedding Celebrations: A Practical Guide for Couples, and Bless This Child: A Comprehensive Guide to Creating Baby Blessing Ceremonies.
Susanna Macomb, Part 2 – 3/18
The second part of Susanna’s class started with Question & Answers, and continued with much sharing from both Susanna and Jon Mundy telling stories about some of the memorable, unusual, and often funny things that have happened to them in the process of performing not only weddings but funeral and baby-namings as well.
Jon Mundy talked about the various possibilities and options involved with preparing a wedding ceremony. He handed out copies of a booklet Ceremony of Marriage that he had coauthored with Rev. Diane Berke several years ago.
